Elation
Overview
Elation is the electronic health record (EHR) platform that Pair Team uses internally for clinical documentation and patient care management. All data in Elation originates from documentation logged by our clinical team members—primarily Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Registered Nurses (RNs)—as they provide care to patients.

Data Sources and Contributors
The Elation dataset reflects the day-to-day clinical work of our care team, including:
- Patient demographics and contact information
- Clinical encounters and visit notes
- Diagnoses and problem lists
- Medications and prescriptions
- Lab orders and results
- Care plans and treatment protocols
- Clinical messaging and communications
Elation Data Architecture
The Elation Snowflake data share gives us access to numerous tables for data analysis. While we have access to everything out of the box, making the data useful is difficult, and is something we are working through systematically. For more information on raw Elation data you can browse Elation's DBT docs.
Elation DBT Docs (Schema Documentation)
Some Elation data is also duplicated in Zus. Most clinical documentation entered in Elation is automatically forwarded to Zus to fulfill reciprocity requirements with Health Information Exchanges (HIEs). This means certain clinical data points may appear in both data sources, though the timing and format may differ.
Current Data Availability in Looker
Currently, only a limited subset of Elation data is accessible through Looker. The majority of Elation data remains accessible only through raw data in Snowflake. The Elation data currently available in Looker includes:
- Appointments - Available in the Golden Explores in Looker
- Vitals readings - Including blood pressure and BMI measurements
- Laboratory readings - Including hemoglobin A1C (HbA1C) and other lab values
Some of these data points are also utilized in care gaps calculations within our analytics models.
